Sickle
Sickle was founded in the summer of the year 2000, with members Greg Fender on Guitar and Vocals, Chuck Cogburn on Guitar, Joey Christensen on Drums, Justen Christensen on bass, and Adam Breitegum on samples and electronics. Their first self-engineered demo was completed shortly after the bands conception, and a local following was quickly established. Their second demo was completed in mid 2001, also self-produced and recorded, which substantially increased their value as an important central valley act. In the latter half of 2001 they parted ways with Joey and Justen Christensen, leaving them without a bassist or drummer. Before the end of the same year they secured a new bassist with Andrew Hopson, and a new drummer with Roger Guajardo, who for personal reasons had to leave after a handful of shows. It would be nearly two years before a stable drummer would be secured. During this time away a lot of new material was written, much of which would later be included in the band's full length album. After numerous false starts, things started looking better for the group and they launched Sickleweb.com, where they started a news section which became a journal of sorts, documenting all of the major events to occur with the band for the rest of its existence. It is here that we will let the News Archive take over.
